Blue Collar Happy Hour

 —  —

Side Pocket Cafe, 1066 Poquonnock Road, Groton, CT

Music starts at 7pm - Main Stage starts @ 8
Americana Live - no cover - every Friday & Saturday

A new day is dawning for the Blue Collar Happy Hour folks! Not only am I actually typing out the Newsletter...but
Effective Oct. 1, 2011 The Blue Collar Happy Hour will move it’s schedule to The Side Pocket Café in Downtown
Groton.

Finally, we have a home dedicated to the genre. Owner Henry Reed is an enthusiastic fan of Americana style music and is really looking forward to the upcoming schedule. It is important to realize that the emphasis of the club will be on artists and their music.

The Side Pocket is a real nice place to hear good music. We have 2 equipped stages, one for Singer/Songwriters and one for bands. There is plenty of parking behind the club. Great pub food. NO TV's (to speak of). An owner that's into the scene (!). Still - NO COVER for most shows. Drinks served quickly.

We are planning to open most shows @ 7pm featuring Singer/Songwriters... more often than not you can expect
to see either Roy Dunn or in some cases Roy Maclean & The Macleans - you better hope for the latter...

Reachin' above our raisin': Future plans for the venue include some exclusive top-tier national and international artists - might even get Vince Thompson!

We are taking a lot on here folks - some really great things in the works. We need the support of Americana/Roots
music community, fans and artists to make this work, please stop by Saturday evening and check it out.
